TTT: Interactive instructional strategies in Higher Education​

January 16-26, 2018 the next module of the Train The Trainer program concerning “Develop interactive learning” will be delivered. ​

By the end of this module:

  • Participants create metaplan activities to foster shared experiences among learners.
  • Participants can create a large number of questions/task/activities that reflect the full range in Bloom’s taxonomy.
  • Competence videos are developed on the base of a script pointing out steps in competence implementation, next to a focus on socio-motivational elements.
  • Videos are used to assess interactively the competence mastery in terms of students’ perceptions, interpretations and decisions.
  • Peer assessment activities are set up on the base of rubrics.
  • Collaborative learning activities are designed and implemented, respecting scripting, roles and other structuring solutions.
  • As an extension of collaborative learning both peer tutoring and student learning activities can be designed.
  • Teachers develop mindmaps or can invoke mindmapping in their students.
  • A basic flipped classroom design is developed and implemented.

Feedback is given to students or invoked between students to direct the formative learning processes.

WP3 meeting “Establishing the program for improving teaching skills with ICT use​”

January 25-26th, 2018 another Work Package meeting will take place in Wrocław.

WP3 aims to improve the level of competencies of teaching staff through developing courses on pedagogical skills with ICT use. Prior to the trainings the map of key teaching competencies will be developed.

TTT: Soft skills in Higher Education​

December 4-14, 2017 the next module of the Train The Trainer program concerning “Soft skills in Higher Education​” will be delivered. ​

By the end of this module participants:
• will be able to plan and adapt classes and communication style taking into account the cross-cultural differences,
• will be able to use different techniques of time management,
• will be prepared to speak with greater control in front of others, use techniques to engage audience,
• will become familiar with teamwork and collaboration,
• will know how to adjust own leadership approach depending on the environment,
• will improve critical thinking skills and will know practical use of problem solving strategies and the decision making stages.

TTT: Developing e-learning courses and activities

In days 21st November – 1st December 2017 first module of the Train-The-Trainer program will be conducted in India for selected participants. The course titled “Developing e-learning courses and activities” will be delivered by the trainer from WUST. Trainees will learn how to plan and develop e-learning courses and activities, how to effectively use an e-learning platform in teaching and, how to set the roles and create various activities, share online courses with multimedia, tasks and quizzes.

Establishment of the Capacity Building Centers CBC​ – Work Package 4 meeting

Establishment of the Capacity Building Centers (CBC)
Venue: SAL Institute of Technology & Engineering Research, Ahmedabad, India

During the meeting a discussion was carried out on establishing the CBC web platform, developing CBC plan and developing e-learning courses. All involved partners shared their expectations, possibilities. The main discussion was about technical specifications of the equipment, verifying assumptions to establish the centre according to the screening document and designing e-learning platform.

Train-The-Trainer development program

In days 18-20 September 2017 European partners (WUST, GU, FU) have conducted interviews with the candidates for the position of the trainer in the capacity building centres.
Together we have interviewed more that 55 candidates and finally selected 30 trainers who will participate in the Train-The-Trainer development program.

Implementing Train-the-Trainer program (TTT) – Work Package 2 meeting

During the meeting we were discussing selection process of trainers as well as content of the modules to be delivered within the TTT program. Four modules will be developed: the e-learning module, and the Soft skills in HE module, the Interactive instructional strategies in HE module and the Developing a curriculum for HE module.
The trainings will be delivered by European partners from November 2017 to February 2018 with final evaluation session in March 2018.

KickOff Meeting of the CABCIN project Vadodara, India, 20-22 March 2017

KickOff meeting of the CABCIN project

We have officially launched our project together with all consortium partners. After official opening on the first day all partners presented their universities. On the second day project coordinator dr Kamila Ludwikowska presented the CABCIN project, its objectives, schedule, work packages and deliverables. On the third day we were discussing distribution of tasks, deliverables and action plan for next months, project coordinator also presented the Guidelines for the Use of the Grant and project Budget.

Capacity Building for Higher Education Project Representative Meeting

Dr Kamila Ludwikowska as a project coordinator and Dr Preeti Nair as a leader of WP7 have participated the Capacity Building projects meeting  on behalf of CABCIN project consortium held in Brussels from 25-26 January 2017. The main issues discussed by the EACEA were related to Project management and financial management of the grant holders. Also we could meet with ECAEA project officer responsible for CABCIN project. We have presented our project during thematic workshops.
